Lee Roy Selmon has a story that has a family history of scholarship football with community service. First family, he's the youngest of the nine children of Lucious and Jessie Selmon raised on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. In second football, he was one of three brothers who were players for Oklahoma. Three of them made All-America. In 1973, Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's finest lineman. Over the course of his three years as the starting line-up Oklahoma was 32-1-1 and won two national championships. Selmon was given a second scholarship in 1975. He was also named as a National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon has a bachelor's degree in educational studies. Fourth service In the college Lee Roy devoted ten hours every week for volunteer activities. Then he settled in Tampa after graduation, and played as a member of the Buccaneers for nine seasons and made three times all-pro. His business career began. When he was in the year 1988, he was working as an Account Relation Officer for First Florida Bank in Tampa. He was employed by the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute and for the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There was no surprise that in 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of America's most outstanding young men. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265lbs when playing in the college football league. As of 1975, Lee Roy led the team. He became assistant director of Athletics for the University of South Florida, in 1993. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988. He was also named to the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. He was also named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. In 1989 in 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation awarded its Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Jr. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma awarded it.
