Kelly Clarkson is an American performer and songwriter. She was the nation's sweetheart after winning the American Idol title during Season 1 of the reality show. This win was not only a catalyst for her becoming an international star, but brought her an agreement for several albums from RCA Records 19 Recordings as in addition to 'S Records. Since then, she's put out many studio albums, three of which reached the top on the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just missed the coveted spot. Her name is one of the top artists to came out of American Idol. As she achieved success she tried out different themes and music styles often co-writing her songs in accordance to her own personal experiences. She earned critical acclaim and many prestigious prizes due to her distinctiveness and singing talent. The most prestigious achievement she has achieved is when she took home 3 Grammy awards. In addition to her musical work, she's also appeared on television and in movies. She also co-wrote the picture book for kids River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated in a variety of charitable organisations.
