
Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is one of the chief executive officers (CEOs) of Alphabet Inc., its subsidiary Google, and was born in Madurai in India.[4Pichai earned his diploma in metallurgical engineering from IIT Kharagpur. He graduated with an M.S. in the United States following his move to the United States. He graduated with a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also earned an MBA from Wharton School of Pennsylvania. Following a short stint at the management consultancy firm McKinsey & Co., Pichai joined Google in 2004, where he was in charge of the product management and development efforts for a variety of Google's client software such as Google Chrome and ChromeOS, as well as being largely responsible for Google Drive. Pichai also managed the creation of Google Maps, Gmail, and other applications. Pichai declared in 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 available to the public and introduced WebM an entirely new video format. The Chromebook was released in 2012. Pichai, who was responsible for the rollout of Android in 2012, also added Android to the list of Google products.
