Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez 7 September, 1964, is an American choreographer and actress. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance on Fearless (1993) earned her nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, among other accolades. Perez's leading roles in films include It Could Happen to You (1994) and The Road to El Dorado(2000), Pineapple Express (2007) and Birds of Prey (2018). She also received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990, 1994 and), and another Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her performance as The Flight Attendant. She has been in stage plays on Broadway such as The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season, she was also a cohost on ABC's talk program The View. She was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, Queens. The year 1999 was the year her mother was living in the middle class of Woodside Houses when she died due to AIDS-related issues.
